Change Agents foraging at Cape of Good Hope Nursery
One of the objectives of Creating Change is to link children back to their heritage through indigenous edible plants usage for culinary and medicinal use.
Recently Creating Change took the Change Agents from the 4 different schools, Kleinberg Primary, Marine Primary, Ocean View Seconder and Ukanyo Primary to meet Roushanna Grey from Cape Good Hope Nursery who took them on a foraging walk on the mountain sharing knowledge and tasting different fynbos.
She ended the workshop back at the nursery where she taught the Change Agents how easy it is to make cheese with flavoring from the indigenous herb salvia. This was served with a homemade muffin and greens and flowers from the garden.
